Castle Snaps
Established for a short period in the mid 1930s Castle Snaps operated very much like any of the other walkie businesses. It had been formed as a partnership between Cliff Stafford and John Staniforth. Stafford providing the capital and Staniforth the photographic expertise. Staniforth had worked at the Sun Ray Photo Co, in Bridlington and Southend as a photographer, but had also been a Scarborough baker. The business lasted two seasons probably 1934-1935 before Staniforth set up his own business, Stan’s Snaps.
