Robert Harrison (b.1859)
Harrison worked as a photographer in Scarborough between at least 1897 and 1909. The son of photographer George Harrison and brother of photographer Thomas Harrison with whom he sometimes worked as the Harrison Brothers. During the early part of his career he seems to have based himself in Scarborough in the summer season and then spent time in Lincolnshire as a travelling photographer. In 1898 the Horncastle News records that he took photographs of a group of the Wesleyan Sunday School at Mareham-le -Fen, Lincolnshire, he donated 50 copies of the photograph which was to be sold for 1s each.
Born in Scarborough and living with his brother in Albion Street, Great Driffield in the 1881 Census. In the 1901 Census he was recorded as a photographer living in a van in Kesteven, Lincolnshire.
