Frederick Henry Dixon

The Scarborough Gazette for July and August 1856 has adverts for Mr F.H. Dixon who states that he is a Photographic Miniature Painter from Regent Street, London. Dixon was a painter who had exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1831 and 1842 while living in London. Examples of his work were advertised as being displayed both at Mr Theakston’s Library and at his Scarborough home near the station.
